What a grave eternity awaits those who hold in highest regard numbers of years, friends, income, efforts, abilities—shrugging off the inner treasure of everlasting wisdom the Author of life offers to those who love Him.
Let us not forget the words of 130-year-old Jacob, whom God renamed Israel. A deceitful man he was until the power and grace of God changed and renewed his future, “Few and evil have been the days of the years of my life.” Only wisdom could teach him the error of his ways and the value of his soul.
It’s never too late. If the breath God gives still fills your chest, is not wisdom and understanding raising her voice?
“Blessed is the one who finds wisdom, and the one who gets understanding, for the gain from her is better than gain from silver and her profit better than gold. She is more precious than jewels, and nothing you desire can compare with her.” (Proverbs 3:13-15)
Thank you. Say yes to life and love as days allow.
