Why Give?

Why do we give? It’s an important question to ask — because our motives matter to God.

“Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.”

We never knew the importance of our motives when giving. We thought we owed it to the world to share what we had. Used giving as a way to quiet our conscience. Hoped to win favors from heaven.

Then we sought God’s wisdom.

We learned the Owner of cattle on a thousand hills wasn’t looking for our pennies and nickels. Here’s honest to goodness truth for you: God doesn’t require your money – He desires your heart.

So, before you click the button below, get low with God. Because where your treasure goes…your heart goes with it.

“Give because you love to give — as the flower pours forth its perfume.”

– Charles Spurgeon
