“Loose him and let him go.” ~John 11:44

My shoulders let go reading it this morning.

Already the day barging in, binding me hand & foot.

Freedom like this need never be missed. The voice of the Lord calling to us, the ones He loves. For He Himself is our peace, strength, our defense, our exceedingly great reward. By the power of His voice, we rise. Facing many tribulations this one day. And there be no greater hurdles than our own fateful desires.

Lazarus had no chance of ever seeing the light of day without the voice of his Savior. For from His very lips comes our next breath. From His mouth justice comes up like the light of dawn, shining ever brighter unto the perfect day. Filling our hearts with untold gladness, closing the gulf between us.

All that tangles lets go when we hear the voice of JesusDon’t ask how just believe Who. Remember the countless times He has lifted our head, healed our hurt, saved our presumptuous way?

Our mind freed from the tomb of worrying, wanting, fixing, proving, keeping ahead of tomorrow we were never promised.

Suddenly our thoughts are seated. The day becomes like supper at the table with Jesus.
