It can seem there be no end to our losses. From our very birth we lose the nourishment, protection, warmth of a mother’s womb.
Looking back in the wake of life a steady stream of endings follow. Friendships, security, trust, dreams, hopes, the very lives of the people we’ve loved so dearly.
All these losses would have us ask, “Is there really any hope at all?”
There lies the deadliest question of all. Insofar as flesh sees, it cannot believe. All it knows is endings. But Jesus won the battle for your spirit on the cross. Redeeming what was lost when He overcame the grave.
Did the sun not come up this morning? Is the bud within the branch returning? The cattle in the field still birthing?
God is alive! His kingdom flourishing with every heart that believes! There are no less alive in the kingdom of God today! Singing only increasing as each voice calls His name!
“Of the increase of His government and peace there will be no end.” Is 9:7
