Correction is not a welcome action but of utmost importance in the lives of God’s children. Our Holy Father’s sovereign will in creating and saving the world is beyond our physical and mental capacity; we cannot assume our next move. But we can count on this—God has purpose in it, for us.
The Holy Spirit turned me to Jeremiah 7 and it’s causing me to examine my house. Not the house I live in, the one that lives in me. Is my inner being filled with the things of God? Truth? Justice? Mercy? Are these the hallmarks of my heart?
What idols are hidden or lingering in here? The Father always purging, pruning, sanctifying.
Is everything in my home useful to its Owner?
We musn’t forget—for whom the Lord loves He corrects.
A breath of fresh prayer for you: “My heart is in Your hand, Holy Spirit, turn it wherever You wish.” Proverbs 21:1
“For whom the Lord loves, he corrects”. Profound words for me to commit to memory.

I have to ask myself: Would you rather be loved or ignored?
