Pastor David Alo
At 28 David opened a flooring store in Homer Glen, IL. After 29 years of building a successful business, he sold, and said “Yes” to God’s call into full-time ministry.
“I was a church attendee for 15 years before the Lord saved me. That day, God gave me a heart for His own. Pouring myself into the Bible, God granted me vital spiritual disciplines. Transforming my mind through His word, prayer, serving, giving, seeking reconciliation in relationships, and sharing what Jesus had done for me.”
After salvation David followed the Lord’s lead into Manteno Springs Nursing Home visiting the elderly for seven years. Spending a year on the streets of Joliet, David served the homeless with coffee, coats, and the hope of God’s unconditional love. David later volunteered for seven years with Chicagoland Prison Outreach teaching inmates life lessons through scripture. Pastor Corey Buchanan and Pastor Brian Oswald have been David’s mentors for over ten years.
In December of 2023 David completed his Credo Training, and was ordained by Pastor Corey Buchanan.

Elder Roy Koelling
Roy grew up in the Peotone area, raised on a farm with his parents and two older brothers. His family attended a local Lutheran church. His first memory of understanding Jesus as Savior came at the tender age 6-years-old. A conversation between he and his father about who Jesus was, and what Christ did for the forgiveness of our sins, was key in opening Roy’s heart.
Years later, in the 6th grade, through the church’s Confirmation class, an assignment challenged Roy to approach God one on one. To talk with God and receive forgiveness for his sins. That moment changed the trajectory of his faith moving forward.
Roy grew in the knowledge of God, and he learned to trust Him in times of need. The Lord became Roy’s stronghold through many of life’s challenges. A Counselor for healing and Comfort during relationship trials, health challenges, and career direction. When there was no one else to turn to, The Lord was his refuge and strength. God redeemed both faults and sufferings to bring Roy to where he is today as a believer in Jesus Christ.
“I love being able to serve God and the Church by being involved in men’s groups and outreach. I’m honored to serve the family of God as elder at My Church.”

Elder Al Kuypers
In 1980 my two eldest brothers were born again. For the following 10 years I did my best to run for the hills whenever they would bring up the subject of Jesus. I thank God they never gave up on me.
By January of 1990, I’d reached my lowest point. I was ready to give up. Looking back, I’m still amazed how the Lord’s mercy led me to a local church. Once there, pastor Jackson extended an invitation to surrender my life to Jesus, and by His grace, God pulled me out from the pit of hell, and saved my soul. Since that day, the Lord has been restoring what the enemy had stolen—my marriage, my family, and my job.
From the tender age of 11-years-old, God has given me a heart to fight for the unborn, and that continues to be my mission.
I’ve been married to my bride, Debra, for 47 years. We’ve been blessed with 5 adult children (and their spouses) and 15 grandchildren. It’s our heartfelt delight to be wherever the Lord leads. I consider it a great blessing to serve the Lord as elder before my brothers and sister at My Church.
My favorite verse is Jeremiah 1:5, “Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet to the nations.”
